Pinhole Cameras
A pinhole camera is a simple, homemade camera. They are easy to make, and can be made from almost anything, from tins to boxes. They were created in 300 bc. In the 16th century, Leonardo da Vinci is credited with giving a description of the pinhole camera as we think of it today.
Pinhole images are formed by a beam of light, the diameter of which governs its sharpness. The diameter of the beam is determined by the diameter of the pinhole…so a big pinhole will make a less sharp image and a very small pinhole will make a very sharp; but not as sharp as a lens.

How to make a Pinhole Camera
These are the things you need to make a pinhole camera;
a box or container of your choice (My pinhole camera was made out of a mini can of pringles, but you could also use a the container your phone comes in, a can of soup or anything.)
photographic paper
thin piece of metal
a needle
masking tape and duct tape
Here is how to make a pinhole camera:
◌ Find a container of your choice and spray paint the interior and exterior of it with black spray paint.
◌ Cut a small opening in the middle of the container where you want the lens to be.
◌ Stick a bit of metal (from a can), which is the same size as the opening you just made, behind it.
◌ Poke the tip of a needle into the metal so the hole isn't too big. This will be where the light comes in so it creates a picture.
◌ Place a piece of duct tape (preferably black) onto the opening, and create a flap so you can open it and close it.
◌ Cut a sheet of photographic paper to the size you want your photo to be.
◌ Tape the paper to the inside of the container, facing the faux lens you created before.
You are now ready to start taking photograms!
